ISR of Lake Lanier swimming lessons in Gainesville will begin again for the summer season on June 5th. Parents of Refreshers have already been contacted and should note the limited number of spaces for their child. I am scheduling morning lessons at this time from 9:30am - 11:00am. New students are now being accepted on a first come first serve basis. If you would like to receive the registration link for your child, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or fill out the Sign Up form here on the website. You may also view live availability by visiting my Calendar page.
ISR Self-Rescue™ recommends building layers of protection between your child and the water. These layers are essential because the reality is that most children do not drown because of LACK of supervision, it is a LAPSE in supervision, and it only takes a momentary distraction for a curious toddler to get out of your sight. ISR Self-Rescue™ students are the best aquatic problem solvers in the world! As the video shows below, ISR student Miles, has helped showcase the unbelievable ISR Self-Rescue skills to parents around the world that children as young as 6 months old can learn to save their own lives if they were to reach the water alone. Those same ISR Self-Rescue™ skills he learned early on formed the foundation of the aquatic skills he's continuing to learn today.
I would encourage you to fill out the Sign Up form on my website regarding lessons. There is also an abundance of information about our program here on my website, from lesson scheduling, ISR registration fee, tuition and where my lessons are located. My website has all this information and more to help you get started!
ISR recommends "refresher" lessons every 6-12 months depending on your child's age and skill level. A typical refresher lesson lasts 1-2 weeks depending on how long it has been since your child's last ISR lessons and how much they have grown since then.

These Reusable Diapers are ISR Approved!
Disposable and cloth diapers are made of absorbent materials, and grow loose-fitting and soggy very quickly in water. This allows for fecal matter to leak out of it and into the water...they are also expensive to use during ISR lessons 5 days/week for the average 4-6 weeks. The material in disposable swim diapers is also harmful to indoor and outdoor pool filtration systems.
We recommend that your child wear ISR Approved Reusable Swim Diapers. ISR of Lake Lanier will have these available for you to purchase poolside for $5.00 each. Current available sizes in stock range from 12 months - 3T. If you need a smaller or larger size please let us know prior to lessons so that we can get that ordered!
ISR also has swim diapers available for purchase through the online Seal Store. Each newly registered child has a unique coupon code that is emailed after your registration has been approved. This coupon can be used to redeem merchandise for up to $15. Apply the code during the checkout process and be sure to spend the full value of the coupon, it cannot be less. You are welcome to purchase additional items and add them to your order, if you desire.
ISR's safety record and proven instruction techniques are uniquely tailored to your child's needs based on comprehensive assessment and continual monitoring of your child's health and skill attainment, by certified ISR instructors.
For your child's well-being and comfort, prior to each lesson you receive BUDS (bowel, urine, diet, sleep) forms. This sheet tracks the unique physiology of your child, including bowel movements, frequency of urination, diet and meal-times, and the duration of every sleep episode in a 24-hour period.
Before each lesson, your ISR instructor will review the BUDS sheet and ask you further questions if necessary, and then individualize the lesson for your child. If your instructor feels any of these key measurements are not as they should be, your child's lesson will not take place. The BUDS sheet ensures your child learns in a healthy and safe environment.
ISR Certified Master Instructor Jan Orwick stated "ISR always emphasizes safety over convenience and we tend to find that the parents feel much more comfortable about this as well. While it is a fair amount of paperwork, any program that involves the safety and well being of young children needs to be conscientious and very thorough. We review every registration form and our pediatric nurses also review certain forms where the student might have an issue or circumstance of concern. We also have David Carr, M.D. as our board-certified pediatrician and he too assists in the evaluations of selected ISR materials."
