WELCOME TO ISR OF LAKE LANIER!

The ISR Self-Rescue® instruction my students receive is the result of over 50 years of research and has achieved unparalleled results worldwide. Founded in 1966 by Dr. Harvey Barnett, Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) remains the global leader in the industry it pioneered survival swimming lessons for infants and young children.

The focus of every ISR Self-Rescue® Survival Swim lesson is survival. Why? Across our nation, and in 18 of our states, drowning remains the number one cause of death for children under the age of four. This heartbreaking statistic is alarming, but the good news is that drowning is preventable.
ISR instruction emphasizes building multiple layers of protection between your child and the water. These layers are vital because most children do not drown from a lack of supervision, it’s a brief lapse in supervision that can have devastating consequences. Even a momentary distraction can be enough time for a curious toddler to slip away unnoticed.

Through ISR’s proven method, children learn to respond to unexpected situations in the water with calm confidence. ISR Self-Rescue® students are among the best aquatic problem-solvers in the world, developing skills that truly make a difference when seconds count.
At ISR of Lake Lanier, my goal is to continue this lifesaving mission while offering compassionate, individualized instruction. Every lesson is designed to empower both parent and child, building not only safety skills but also confidence, trust, and peace of mind.

our mission

Today, our mission, “Not One More Child Drowns,” is the foundation of everything we do and is the driving force behind ISR’s employees, our independent ISR Instructors, and our major corporate partnerships. We believe the successful prevention of the leading cause of accidental death for children under the age of 4 in the U.S. will require a large group of caring and capable professionals whose sole focus is to save lives.

Flotation devices are for children who cannot swim. Children, who cannot swim, should NOT be allowed to learn that it is safe to play in the water while relying on a flotation device.
