ISR of Lake Lanier Certified Instructor - "Ms. Robin"
Dear ISR Self-Rescue® parents,
I appreciate you taking the time to learn a little about me and why I became an Infant Swimming Resource Instructor. Teaching has always been my passion. I am a former high school teacher, aquaBelly Pre and Postnatal Exercise Specialist, and home educator to our four children. This summer will be my 15th year as a Certified Infant Swimming Resource Instructor and to date I have given over 9,000+ ISR Self-Rescue® Survival Swim lessons! |

There is nothing more rewarding than teaching a young child, while in the water, to roll onto his/her back and take their first breath of air. Having experienced a drowning in our family in 2005, I became dedicated to the mission of teaching children the ISR Self-Rescue® Survival skills. I will not let your child leave my program until I am completely satisfied that they are able to handle themselves as problem solvers in an aquatic emergency. I think what sets me apart from other programs is a combination of the incredible ISR Self-Rescue® Survival techniques, my experience around water and as an educator. Since my initial ISR Self-Rescue® certification in 2007 I have trained more than 335+ infants and young children aquatic self-rescue® survival skills, given more than 9,000 swim lessons in 15 years, and have taught three of my four children (the youngest will begin her lessons at 6 months of age, Fall of 2022). I understand what you feel while watching lessons and I am always open with my communication as to what I am doing and what your child is learning every step of the way. By the end of your child's lessons, I promise you will not feel that “parent panic” when your child is in or near the water.
My ISR Self-Rescue® certification training was completed in July of 2007 and included 60+ hours of supervised in-water hands-on training with a Master Instructor and 18 ISR Self-Rescue® students. My ISR Self-Rescue® education included extensive academic study and testing in child psychology, physiology, and behavioral science. As an ISR Self-Rescue® Instructor, I am required to complete annual reviews and re-certification to ensure that my skills and techniques continue to meet the highest ISR Self-Rescue® standards.
My mission is to help educate our Lake Lanier community about how to prevent infant drowning. Though I am retired from educating high school students, I can't think of anything else I would rather do with my life than continue to educate children about ISR's Specialized Aquatic Self-Rescue® technique. It has been, and will continue to be, the most rewarding work I do. My goal is to bring the ISR Self-Rescue® program to as many families in Northeast Georgia as possible!
Swimcerely,
